It was sure fun making curry for the Bloomers! :)
Greg and I went over to Jessie and Tayva's for FHE and dinner.
I cooked my world famous curry (see recipe on gregandnataleebillings.blogspot.com)!!!
I was so worried that they wouldn't like it... but psssssh! What was I THINKING?! Curry is like...the...best...ever. Everyone likes Japanese Curry Rice~ Nothing but compliments filled the air. haha
It was funny because Tayva's dad and mom, who are like the best cooks ever, was asking little ol' me on how to make curry. I felt smart. lol
Anywho, after dinner, we had FHE. Since this week is Thanksgiving, we had a wonderful lesson on gratitude and giving thanks, taught by Tayva's mom. At the end of the lesson, she had us write down a list of things we were grateful for.
Of course, the first thing on my list was my hardworking husband. He is so good to me... so proud of him! If it weren't for Greg, we wouldn't be... us right now. He keeps us together like mochi. :) Love him dearly~
My goodness, and after the lesson... home-made cream puffs... YUM!?
I ate two. teehee
Then we ended up playing Catch Phrase. We are all too silly. :)
Great dinner, lesson, and dessert. Couldn't have asked for a better night.
So I just wanted to tell you that I could totally hear your voice as I read this... and it made me miss you oh so much!!! And ps... how come you never made ME your world famous curry???
ReplyDeletegood question... probably cuz i could never find curry. I don't think we had an Asian market close to us, did we??? hmmm... well then. great excuse for you to come down here ;p
ReplyDeleteThere are several things that crossed my mind while reading this...
ReplyDeleteI love curry.
Andrew actually...doesn't. Not that much anyhow. I KNOW!!! WHAT THE CRAP!?!?! He says he got used to it on his mission but its still not his favorite. Too bad for him...its mine and I'm the cook =P He likes every other kind of curry though...just Japanese style least. SAD DAY!
what else...oh yeah. When I was little I had a shirt with bears on it that were all stuck together at the butt. It said "Mochi bears, friends that stick together" that's what your post made me think of. I'm going to call you guys mochi bears from now on.
...maybe...if I actually remember... =P
Jess, I remember you saying that about your shirt. :) that's why I wrote it. haha
ReplyDeleteat one of our president's interviews, we went in to see Sis. Jackson first before President, and she asked us to fill in the blank, and wanted the FIRST thing that popped in our mind:
"Companions are ________"
My response? "Companions are like mochi. We stick together!" hahahaha
This is Kellie.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say that Andrew's golden stars got taken away...that is if he EVER HAD ANY! WHAT KIND OF INSANE PERSON DOSEN'T L.O.V.E. JAPANESE STINKIN' CURRY?! Weird.
On another note ♪♫ :)I won first place in anatomy for my curry...(we were learning about the digestive system and had to make a healthy meal and have everyone try it)
